Students from Makueni County compete in MLK Day Tournament

The team from Kilungu School journeyed to JKUAT Juja to participate in the U18 tournament accompanied by a group of teacher from local school in Makueni County, representing a pivotal moment for baseball in the county.

Despite a lack of recent competitive experience, the team performed admirably,
showcasing the considerable potential of many players. This event was particularly significant for Baseball 4 Africa, as it highlighted the ongoing commitment of Kilungu School to the sport. Since its introduction by Jim Tamarack and Baseball 4 Africa in the mid-2000s, the school has consistently engaged in baseball activities.

In recent years, Angels at Bat has collaborated with the school to enhance the
team's skills further. The experience not only fostered growth among the players but also revitalized the local baseball community, emphasizing the importance of competitive play in developing
talent.
