Uganda 15U National Team competes in WBSC World Cup Qualifiers in Nairobi, Kenya
The Uganda U- 15 national team set off on 3rd December 2025 for Nairobi, Our bus broke on
the way hence causing the delay on the road to Nairobi. The team arrived at 9: 00pm on 4th
December 2025. We participated in the opening ceremony on 5th December 2025.
A total of 4 countries participated Uganda, South Africa, Kenya and South Sudan.
• A round Robin game system was played, a total of 6 games was played by each team,
Uganda won against Kenya and South Sudan, however the first game against South
Sudan was forfeited due to violation on pitch count rules. Uganda lost both games
against South African and merging second position in the qualifiers.
• South Africa merged Champion and qualified for the U-15 baseball world
• Uganda earned the MVP award by Edrine Kalule due to his outstanding performance.
The Uganda U-15 team successfully participated in the world qualifiers providing a great
opportunity for the players to compete.
The world was able to see the potential future professional baseball players entrenched in
Uganda.
• As an impact we have adopted going forward to enforce official WBSC regulations for all
the local tournaments in Uganda to enable us prepare and practice the rules.
• Players and coaches motivation increased.
• The media engagement increased hence creating more awareness for the game of
baseball in Uganda.
