Little League District 03 Hosts a 10U and 12U tournament
The just concluded Under-10 and Under-12 Baseball and Softball Tournament was successfully organized as part of the grassroots sports development initiative aimed at promoting youth participation, discipline, teamwork, and talent discovery in Nigeria. The tournament brought together young athletes from various leagues and communities to compete in a healthy and developmental sporting environment.
The event served as a platform to encourage children’s involvement in sports while also strengthening the development structure for baseball and softball at the grassroots level.
The competition featured Under-10 and Under-12 categories in both baseball and softball divisions. Participating teams competed in a series of games under standard Little League developmental guidelines.
The tournament was held at the renowned First Baseball Park in Sub-Saharan Africa, widely regarded as the home of baseball in Nigeria. The venue provided a safe and conducive atmosphere for the young athletes.
A total of three leagues participated in the tournament, competing in a best-of-three series format across the categories.
The participating teams demonstrated excellent skill development, enthusiasm, and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.
At the end of the competition, Honors Little League Baseball and Softball League emerged as champions in both the Under-10 and Under-12 Baseball and Softball categories after impressive performances during the tournament.
The games were highly competitive and showcased the growing standard of youth baseball and softball development in Nigeria.
